Spectral Flow Cytometry Reimagined

Discover our stable, narrow-emission, easy-to-conjugate fluorescent and/or magnetic nanoparticles for higher-quality spectral flow data.

Narrow emissions for accurate spectral flow cytometry data

Spectral flow cytometry is transforming the analysis of complex cellular populations. Unlike traditional flow cytometry, spectral systems capture the full emission spectrum of each fluorophore, then apply advanced unmixing algorithms - rather than compensation - to reduce spectral overlap and co-excitation that can confound results. Having fluorophores with tight emission spectra is key for reducing spectral overlap, improving spectral resolution, generating reliable data, and enabling researchers to utilize larger panels.

At Core Quantum Technologies, we’ve developed a new class of fluorescent nanoparticles with spectral flow cytometry in mind. Built on the unique optical properties of quantum dots, our fluorescent-only nanoparticles, MultiDots, and our fluorescent and magnetic nanoparticles, MagDots, offer ultra-narrow, photostable emissions with minimal overlap—perfect for high-dimensional panels and precise spectral unmixing, unlike organic dyes which are prone to photobleaching, decoupling, and require several lasers to excite multiple colors, adding complexity to panel design.

Maximize precision and flexibility with our quantum dot-based nanoparticles

MultiDots:
Fluorescent nanoparticles

MultiDots are engineered for stability to produce tight, reproducible spectral emissions, enabling extensive multiplexing capabilities. Whether you’re performing deep immunophenotyping, rare cell detection, or multiplexed functional assays, our reagents are built to deliver unmatched stability and accuracy.

MagDots: Fluorescent
and magnetic nanoparticles

Based on our deep understanding of magnetic cell separation workflows, we developed MagDots, the first ever hybrid fluorescent and magnetic quantum dot-based nanoparticle. MagDots allow for simultaneous cell enrichment and fluorescent analysis—ideal for streamlining workflows and improving reproducibility.

Seamless integration into common spectral flow cytometry panels

Because of their narrow emission spectra, our nanoparticles are seamlessly incorporated into existing spectral flow cytometry panels without the need to replace any fluorophores. We currently offer the following wavelengths: 420, 440, 450, 470, 520, 580, 610, 640, 655, 700 nm, but soon there will be nanoparticles that emit light every 20 nm across the whole spectrum! Moreover, because our copolymer capsule contain functional groups, you can easily conjugate your antibody of choice with our nanoparticles.
